Rev. 14:9 Bro. FYM God's last messenger

by Newearth

What is God's last mission of salvation in the Christian era? Rev.14:9 enlightens us, thus: "And another Angel, a third followed them, saying with a loud voice, 'If any one worships the beast and its image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand,"(RSV) God's last mission of salvation is the mision of the third Angel - warns those who have the mark on their forehead and right hand. It should be understood that the Catholic Church was not destroyed by the reformation movement led by Luther. It exist up to the time of the third Angel, or God's last messenger. How do we know that the mission ofthe third Angel is already the last of God's mission of salvation? What follows after the mission of the last messenger? In Rev.14:14-15, this is recorded: "Then I looked, an lo, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one like the a son of man, with a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand. And another Angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat upon the cloud, 'Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe." (ibid.) Reaping or harvesting follows after the mission of God's Last Messenger.

What is the meaning of harvest? According to our Lord Jesus in Matthew 13:39: "The enemy that sowed them is the Devil: the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels." (KJV) Harvest means the end of the world. It is therefore authenticated that the mission of the third Angel is the LAST MISSION OF SALVATION in the Christian era. If man is not included in this mission, then he will not be saved.

How can we prove that the end of the world is approaching? What are the signs that manifest the end? Our Lord declares in Matthew 24:33, 6: "So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates,...And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet." (RSV) Wars and rumors of wars will be heard when the end is near. In verses 7-8 of the same chapter, this is recoeded: "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, and earthquakes in various plces: All this is but the beginning of the sufferings." (ibid.) All of these have occured thus the end of the world is indeed approaching.

What mark does the third Angel or the last messenger prohibit people from receiving? In Rev. 14:9-11, this is stated: "And another Angel , a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and its image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also shall drink the wine of God's wrath poured unmixed into the cup of his anger, and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; and they have no rest, day or night, these worshippers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name." (RSV) The third Angel or the last messenger prohibits people from receiving the mark on the forehead and right hand.

Who are the people that have the mark on the forehead and right hand? In a book written by a Catholic priest entitled SIYA ANG INYONG PAKINGAN - ANG ARAL KATOLIKO page 11, this is recorded as translated: "The sign of the cross is the sign of the Catholic ..." How is the sign or the mark of the cross made by Catholics? Reverend Demond testifies: "To make the sign of the cross is to make three crosses with thumb of the right hand; the first is on the forehead..."(ibid.) The Catholics, according to the authoritative testimony of a Catholic priest are the people who have the mark on the right hand and on the forehead.

What then is the task or mission of God's Last Messenger? In Ezekiel 14:22: "Yet behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters.." (KJV) His mission is to draw away God's people from the Catholic Church. But is it enough that people drawn away from the Catholic Church? Unto what does this last mission convert people so that man will be saved? In Rev. 14:13, this is autenticated: "And I heard a voice from heaven saying, 'Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord henceforth. 'Blessed indeed,' says the spirit, 'that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!'" (RSV) People are being converted to that which is the Lord.

Which is of the Lord? In Acts 20-28, this is documented: 'Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you guardians, to feed the Church of the Lord."(ibid.) Which Church truly belongs to the Lord? The Church of the Lord.

Who is the Lord? I Acts 2:36, it is stated, thus: "Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly that God has made him both LOrd and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified." (ibid.)

Which is the Church of the Lord as Apostle Paul states in Romans 16:16: "Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you." (ibid.) The Church of Christ is the Church of he Lord.

What is the distinctive trait of this last Church? Rev.14:12-13 explains thus: "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. And I heard a voice from heaven unto me , "Write this: Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord henceforth. Yea, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them." (KJV) The distinctive trait of the Church of Christ, is they are patient in the keeping of God's commandments. What is the reward for their patience in observing the commandments of God? They are counted as blessed if they die in the Lord, meaning: they are blessed if they die loyal members of the Church of Christ.

The Church of Christ is God's last mision of salvation in the Christian Era. God has shown His love to mankind through the commision of Brother Felix Y. Manalo, His Last Messenger. God established His last mission of salvation in the Philippines. It has now reached the Western world, and is still spreading. A man who wants to be embraced by God's salvation must therefore be within God's mission of salvation: the Church of Christ.
